1885 Front cover locally used in Bangkok affixed with single First Issue 1Att(#2), tied by KRUNGTHEP (BSR-01A) cds dated Friday the 14th of the wanning moon, the 11th month of year C.S. 1247 corresponding to 6 November 1885. Lower right bearing boxed stamp with wordings read “insufficient 1Att, the receiver must pay tax 2Atts” in black. This is the earliest date tax cover ever recorded and the only known type with double tax penalty which still uses until present day. Lower right corner tear and reinforced by hinges.
